Toros Meram Yenilenebilir Enerji Üretim A.Ş., subsidiary of Turkey’s largest fertilizer manufacturer and market leader Toros Tarım, contributes to the production of renewable energy in our country by generating electricity from biogas, and also supports the construction of a sustainable future in agriculture by producing organic and organo-mineral fertilizers.
Toros Meram Yenilenebilir Enerji Üretim A.Ş. is an integrated biogas and organic fertilizer company with an annual production capacity of 75 thousand tons of solid organo-mineral fertilizers and 15 thousand tons of liquid organic fertilizers, and has an electricity generation facility with an installed capacity of 6 MW.
The facility, which has a daily disposal capacity of 770 tons of wet waste, generates electricity from biogas, which is produced through the fermentation of organic wastes. The plant also produces the solid and liquid organic fertilizers our soils need from the wastes that complete the gasification process.
Working with the principle of ‘zero liquid discharge’, Meram Renewable Energy is an environmentally friendly organization with its advanced flue gas treatment and heat recovery systems, and makes a significant contribution to reducing environmental pollution with its ability to eliminate organic wastes in the region.
