(Anadolu Agency) Gönen Energy, acquired by Toros Agri, signed a share purchase agreement to buy the shares of Altaca Meram Green Energy Production, Inc.

Gönen Energy, of which Toros Tarım acquired 70 percent of its shares with the aim of becoming an important player in the organic and organo-mineral fertilizer markets, signed a share purchase agreement to buy the shares of Altaca Meram Green Energy Production, Inc.

In a release by Toros Tarım, it was stated that Toros Tarım has broadened its investments in organic and organo-mineral fertilizers in line with the principle of providing all kinds of fertilizers that the farmers need.

Gönen Renewable Energy Production, Inc., of which Toros Tarım acquired 70 percent of its shares in the first half of the year, will take over Altaca Meram Green Energy Production, Inc., which is located in Konya’s Meram district and has an electricity generation facility with an installed power of 6 MW and 75 thousand tons of solid organo-mineral fertilizers and the necessary licenses and permissions to establish a facility with a production capacity of 15 thousand tons of liquid organic fertilizers, in two stages.

The share purchase agreement between the two companies was signed in the attandence of Hakan Göral, Vice President of Tekfen Holding Agri-Industry Group and Chairman of Toros Tarım, and Alper Önoğlu, Chairman of the Board of Altaca Holding.

With the signing of the contract, 10 percent of Altaca Meram Green Energy Production, Inc.’s shares in the first stage were transferred to Gönen Energy. The transfer of the remaining shares will be completed after receiving the government’s permission and fulfillment of the terms.
